Can Mind-Matter Interactions Be Enhanced by Low-Power PEMF and Heart Rate? A Pilot Study

Explore the intriguing science of mind-matter interaction in this engaging FREE webinar, focusing on how mental influence might subtly affect electronic devices, especially through micro-PK (micro-psychokinesis) studies. We’ll start by examining foundational work, like Princeton’s renowned PEAR Lab experiments, which showed that participants could influence random event generators (REGs) with their minds.

The session will also look at how the brain, particularly the frontal lobe, may impact micro-PK performance. Research suggests the left frontal lobe might act as a filter, potentially reducing these interactions, while quieting the area may enhance them.

The webinar’s main focus will be a pilot study by Dr. Jeff Tarrant, where low-power PEMF stimulation was applied to the frontal lobes to explore effects on PK performance. Findings indicate that this PEMF stimulation, designed to temporarily reduce activity in the frontal lobe, might improve PK outcomes, though additional factors--such as differences between left and right frontal stimulation, individual strategies, and psychological characteristics--also play a role.

Join us to learn about the groundbreaking potential of this research, originally presented at the 32nd Annual ISNR Conference in September 2024, and its implications for understanding consciousness and brain function in mind-matter interaction.

Jeff Tarrant, Ph.D., BCN is the founder and Director of the NeuroMeditation Institute in Eugene, Oregon.  He is a licensed psychologist and board certified in neurofeedback. Dr. Tarrant specializes in teaching, clinical applications, and research combining technology-based interventions with meditative states for improved mental health.

His research focuses on exploring brainwave changes that occur as a result of contemplative practices, technological interventions, non-ordinary states of consciousness, & psi-related abilities. Dr. Tarrant is the author of the books Meditation Interventions to Rewire the Brain and Becoming Psychic: Lessons from the Minds of Mediums, Healers, and Psychics.
