The Focus style of NeuroMeditation is an excellent foundation for any meditation practice and may be especially beneficial for those seeking to manage symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, or depression.
This 6-week live, online meditation class takes a scientific approach to the art and practice of meditation.
In this live, online meditation course, you will learn:
· How Focus NeuroMeditation influences brain functioning
· A variety of seated and movement-based Focus meditations
· Tips and strategies to enrich your practice
· How to use technology to enhance your meditation experience
Each class session will include a combination of research related to the science of Focus meditation, practical experiences, and group discussion. Between classes, you’ll practice specific exercises to advance your learning.
Class Bonus
Weeks 1 and 6 include an optional, 20 minute, post-class session for research participants.

Week 2: The Brain on Focus Part 1
Parts of the brain activated and quieted
Mudras, mantras, directed attention techniques, layering
Week 3: The Brain on Focus Part 2
How meditation changes your brain
Movement-based strategies: Earth meditation, Qigong, walking meditation
Week 4: The Use of Sound to Facilitate Focus States
Audio entrainment, bells and gongs, choosing music
Week 5: Technology Interventions
External breath pacers, virtual reality, and biofeedback
Week 6: Visualization Techniques and Next Steps
Developing and deepening your home practice

Kendra Vita, MS, NMI-2, LPC intern
Kendra Vita is the Program Manager for the NeuroMeditation Institute in Eugene where she also works as a therapist and meditation instructor. She incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, NeuroMeditation interventions, as well as neuro and biofeedback to help her clients find balance along with a greater sense of peace and purpose in their lives.
